Gustav Update

Gustav was my first experience with evacuating. It really didn't go that bad. I left Friday afternoon with Aaron. We went to my parents house in Prairieville, La. Napoleon met up with us after work that day. It felt like a vacation for the weekend, but then the storm came and it was pretty scary. My parents big maple tree fell on top of their neighbors house. There are trees all over in there neighborhood. We heard a lot of cracking. After the storm we stayed pretty comfy, my parents have a generator so that was a awesome. Especially with having a little baby. (well he isn't that little, kinda chunky). Tuesday was my birthday i am now 25 years old. so yeah, my birthday plans were ruined, but i am kinda use to it now. I have celebrated many birthdays during storms. We are thankful to be home and to be together. Oh yeah, GO SAINTS!!! Today they play their first game!!!!!

Ortiz family,
Your little guy is so cute! How old is he now? Aimee and I are still living in Hammond but will be moving to Watson in February..we are building a house out there. I got a job at FNBB off the Drusilla exit. Are you guys still living in New Orleans? We will have to get together again some time. We just started a blog at casadegarber.blogspot.com so come check it out and leave us a comment or two. Look forward to hearing from you guys.
