BABY TEETH

Soooo Aaron has been driving me crazy. He wakes up about twice a night. Not just moving around awake, like crying awake. I go and try to comfort him. He falls back asleep in my arms and then I put him in his crib and BAM! He starts crying again. So what does a tired mom do. I put him in bed with me and he falls fast asleep. CRAZY! I really don't want a baby in bed with me. I never sleep and I don't want it to continue. What do I do???

Oh and Aaron is 8 months and he hasn't shown any signs of teeth. I decided to feel his gums. Yep. His first tooth is coming up. Could this be the reason for the clingy baby? Any suggestion on what to do?

I can't belive he is 8 months old. Some things he has been doing lately.

- he crawls on all fours
- pulls up on EVERYTHING
- says "dada" and "mama"
- blows raspberries
- gets shy and hides his face
- laughs at animals and other babies
- makes sound like an indian "AWAWAWAW" when you put your hand over his mouth

Boston was the SAME way teething!!! It drove me NUTS! I couldn't get anything done all day and then at night for a few nights he'd wake up and not want to sleep. I used "Teething Tablets" that you have to ask the pharmicist for behind the counter and that helped alot!!! I'd just give him some when he'd wake up in the night and put his pacifier back in his mouth and usually he'd go back to sleep. If it were terrible I'd give him some tylonol and he'd go back to sleep. TEETHING WAS NOT FUN FOR US!!!

Honestly, I just let Calyn cry it out. She eventually stopped. I know it sounds harsh, but she only did it for a couple nights and then realized I wasn't coming in to comfort her and went back to sleep. Sometimes she would cry up to 45 minutes. But, I held strong and didn't go in to her. I would give her Tylenol BEFORE she went to bed. Letting her cry it out was the best thing I ever did. She is a sound sleeper in HER BED. I'm sure she still wakes up during the night, but she knows how to put herself back to sleep and it's AWESOME. We don't hear a peep out of her.

Tylenol.
(I never used the tablets)
Lots of Patience.

Sorry to inform you, but this stuff will last off and on until he's about two. Calyn has TWO MORE TEETH left and I'm throwin' a party when those buggers come through. I think teething is WAY worse than the "newborn" stage. Ugh. Teething blows.

Like Karlee said teething tablets are the best! Jordan is getting two molars in right now, but it has not been too bad. Good luck!
