Mardi Gras

This is how we finished mardi gras day. "Superman" asleep, outside, with the truck floats rolling by!
Aaron was really into Mardi Gras this year. He likes to throw the beads at me and say "MARDI GRAS! "

Mardi Gras was a lot of fun. We went the Saturday before and Fat Tuesday. Aaron loved it! Daniel love it! I have to admit, i am getting a little mardi gras-out. I say next year we go on vacation.

Be My Valentine

The boys really enjoyed valentines day this year. I got bags of candy and goodies and they both enjoyed. Napoleon and I had a wonderful event date planned for the Saturday before Valentines. Napoleon made reservations two weeks in advance to Commanders Palace for Jazz Brunch. Too bad I got deathly sick the Friday evening before. Just our luck, you know we haven't had a good Valentines together since we got Married! It seems like something always happens. Oh well, I sat on the couch sick sick sick just trying to imagine what it would be like to be going out. In my head it was a wonderful date. On Valentines we just gave each other candy, then Napoleon gets out is phone and calls me, i look around and find my new i-phone. That was pretty cool. I just got him a big reese's peanut butter cup heart shaped candy. He is such a great guy!

The Boys

The boys. I love these boys. Daniel is now almost 7 months old. I can't believe it. Aaron is 2. Time is flying by. We have been pretty mellow lately. I mean as mellow as it can get with a husband working and going to school and having a pretty time consuming calling. Lets not forget about me and my calling and just the fact that I have to get myself ready in the morning with 2 little guys. But really pretty mellow. I have enjoyed my time with these little guys. I just wanted to share some pics. oh the love

1. "She is a beautiful baby girl" (this one always makes me laugh. most of the time i don't correct them. I mean, its not like I am going to see them again)

3. " Wow, I love his skin coloring, where is it from? not from you. you are really white"

My Birthday

My Birthday was September 2nd. I was really happy because it was good weather and no storms. you see my birthday is usually a during a storm. I was born during a Hurricane. Hurricane Alicia. That is how I got my name.

My birthday started off with beignets! Aaron sure did enjoy them.

We tagged along with the ortiz crew to Oak Alley Plantation


Then the Court of Two Sisters the Next Day

I love the guy that makes to eggs. You could be in line telling your buddy next to you what you are going to get in your eggs. He will over hear you and already start making what you want in them

That evening we went to my parents house for Ribs. Which is pretty much my favorite food.

We ended the birthday bash with my favorite cake. Doberge Cake, half chocolate half lemon, from Ambrosia bakery in Baton Rouge. If you haven't had it, you got to try it. YUM YUM!

I had a great birthday. 27 is going to be a good year!

Shelley's Visit

My Sister-in-law Shelley was in town, i think it was the beginning of August. Anyway i should post more so I remember more. Anyway. It was a really good visit. The three new cousins were able to just lay around and look at each other. I think they will do more exciting things as they grow up.

It was nice having a girl baby around. We are not used to it.

Cousins are so much fun. I love that we all had babies at the same time. I know I loved having my cousin's around. I hope these babies can be friends forever.
